Carlin Park is a good default choice for a first beach visit in Jupiter. It spans both sides of A1A and includes about 3,000 feet of lifeguarded beach, the Seabreeze Amphitheater (used for outdoor concerts and movies), tennis and bocce courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters with grills, and a cafe.
Parking is plentiful compared to some of Jupiter's smaller beach parks, and there are restrooms on site, which makes it easy to spend a full day here rather than just a quick swim.
Practical notes
- Parking can fill up by mid-morning on weekends and holidays, especially in season (roughly November through April).
- Swim near a lifeguard stand and check the posted flags. Rip currents can develop along this stretch of coast.
- Dogs aren't allowed on the lifeguarded beach. Jupiter Dog Beach, a 2.5-mile off-leash stretch, runs south from just below Carlin Park toward Ocean Cay Park, open sunrise to sunset.
