Just south of Jupiter, Juno Beach is best known for its long fishing pier and as one of the most active sea turtle nesting beaches in the country during nesting season, March through October.
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center, which also runs the pier, is a short drive or beach walk south, making it easy to pair a beach day with a stop at the sea turtle hospital, especially with kids. The pier itself is a popular spot for both fishing and an evening walk.
Practical notes
- During nesting season, some sections of beach may have roped-off turtle nests. Give them a wide berth and avoid using flashlights or flash photography on the beach after dark.
- Parking at Juno Beach Park is free and fills up fastest on weekend mornings.
- Walking the pier costs $2 and fishing from it $5, with a snack bar, bait, and rental poles at the Pier House.
