Riverbend Park is a 680-acre Palm Beach County park along the Loxahatchee River, with canoe and kayak access to about 5 miles of waterways, nearly 10 miles of shell-rock trails for hiking and biking, and nearly 7 miles of equestrian trails. Jupiter Outdoor Center rents canoes, kayaks, and bikes in the park. It's also on the Ocean to Lake Trail, which connects toward Jonathan Dickinson State Park.
The park's most distinctive neighbor is the Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park, the site of the 1838 Battles of the Loxahatchee during the Second Seminole War, with a walking trail and historical markers explaining the battles and the area's Seminole history.
Practical notes
- Free parking and admission, open sunrise to sunset, with picnic areas, pavilions, and restrooms.
- The equestrian trails and trailer parking make this one of the few spots in the area set up for horseback riding.
- Pairs well with Jonathan Dickinson State Park, connected via the Ocean to Lake Trail, for a longer hiking day.
