DuBois Park

DuBois Park is a small peninsula park at the Jupiter Inlet with a calm, shallow swimming lagoon that's popular with families since it's protected from ocean surf, one of the easiest beach spots in town for younger kids. The lagoon is also a gentle spot for snorkeling.

The park is also home to the DuBois Pioneer Home, built in 1898 and one of the oldest structures in the area, which opens for docent-led tours on a limited weekly schedule. The jetty is a good place to watch boat traffic moving through the inlet, and a playground, picnic areas with grills, restrooms, and showers make it easy to turn a visit into a half-day outing.

Practical notes

• The lagoon is lifeguarded daily during the public-school summer break but only on weekends during the school year.
• The lot is modest in size and can fill on weekends.
• Pairs well with the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, just across the inlet, or Coral Cove Park, a short drive north.
